Tech Challenge
ASSIST Tech Challenge is one of the most popular software development competitions for students attending the University of Suceava.
Prove that you're an innovative mind . You'll need great team working skills and the courage to develop a
full-stack app. The theme of the app and the requirements will be available to all participants on the first day of the event.
First place gets 5.000 lei, second place will have 3.000 lei and third place will win 2.000 lei. Plus, add a Jury Award of 1.000 lei and four individual Hero prizes of 500 lei each that we want to give away: Front-end Hero, Back-end Hero, Design Hero and QA Hero.

Frequently asked questions
Assist Tech Challenge is the first contest of its kind to be organized by ASSIST Software. The challenge is to come together as a team and build a full-stack app while also showing organizational skills and the ability to work with a limited amount of time.
We welcome USV students from all faculties, yet a good grasp of technology and software development will be needed to complete the project. If you are interested in hackathons or similar contests, this might be a good one to consider enrolling in. You do not need to be a software developer to participate.
You will be able to sign up for the contest until the 19th of February, 23:59.
All contestants will find out the theme and app on the 23th of February.
You will have 1 month to work on the app.
On the 22th of March, all teams should be ready to present their apps in front of a jury. The winners will be decided on the same day!
ASSIST Software is giving away a total amount of 12.000 lei split as follows:
Team Awards: 1st place: 5.000 lei; 2nd place: 3.000 lei, 3rd place: 2.000 lei; Jury Award: 1.000 lei
Hero awards: Front-end Hero: 500 lei; Back-end Hero: 500 lei; Design Hero: 500 lei, QA Hero: 500 lei
*The participants that manage to complete the challenge will automatically receive goodie bags as a ”thank you” on behalf of the company for answering our call.
For this contest, you will need a team formed of 3 to 5 members. It would benefit the teams if besides developers they also consider including a designer and a QA tester.
ASSIST Tech Challenge will take place only if by the 19th of February we have a minimum number of 5 teams enlisted. Encourage your friends to enter!
No. A team leader can take up the responsibility of enlisting the team into the contest by filling the form below. However, you will all need to agree and choose a name for your team!
• A Slack channel will be created for each of the teams. • Once every two days, the participants will need to report their progress and you can ask questions. • A report must include detailing what you worked on, what were the obstacles you faced and what you are planning to tackle in the following days. • Once a week, a member of the jury will have a call with the team to check progress.
• All the work that you do needs to be original, and the code should be fresh, written specifically
for ASSIST Tech Challenge.
• You will be disqualified if the third-party code plug-ins used in your work are not authorized and
are the source of a legal dispute.
