On June 24, 2025, ASSIST Software will join business and government leaders from Romania, Ukraine, and Moldova at the Cross-border Business Dynamics Forum hosted in the Siret Industrial Park. Organized with the support of the Romanian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK Romania) and the Municipality of Siret, the event is set to become a cornerstone for regional cooperation and economic integration at Europe’s eastern frontier.

We’re proud to be part of this effort to deepen dialogue across borders, especially at a time when regional collaboration is a necessity for driving innovation, strengthening business ecosystems, and building lasting partnerships. Gheorghe David - ASSIST Software Co-Founder & Managing Partner, Teodor Drobota - Business Operations Specialist, and Gabriel Tironeac - Vice President of Innovation, will represent our team at the forum and reinforce our commitment to engaging directly in regional economic development and exploring new opportunities for collaboration.

Regional Dialogue Matters More Than You Think

At ASSIST Software, we believe innovation thrives in ecosystems built on trust, proximity, and shared vision. The Siret Forum represents all three. Situated in proximity to three countries, Romania, Ukraine, and the Republic of Moldova, and hosted by AHK Romania, the event offers a unique platform for addressing shared economic challenges while identifying scalable, cross-border solutions.

The forum proposes a high-level panel featuring policymakers and industry leaders from all three nations, moderated by Sebastian Metz, General Manager of AHK Romania. Discussions will center on investment opportunities, logistics, digitalization, and the geopolitical realities shaping the region.

With over 28 years of experience in custom software development and strategic partnerships, ASSIST Software brings a clear message to the table: "We’re here to help build the digital bridges that cross borders and last."

Our Long-Standing Partnership with AHK Romania

Our participation in this forum is no coincidence. It’s the natural continuation of a strong and fruitful partnership with AHK Romania, one of our key allies in expanding into the German market.

As a full member of the Romanian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, ASSIST Software has actively engaged in events, B2B meetings, and economic missions that promote digital transformation and economic resilience. Over the years, this partnership has not only boosted our visibility but also allowed us to build strong connections with Bavarian and German companies.

Recent Business Events in Iași and Bucharest

Not long ago, our teams took part in two major business networking events organized by AHK Romania in Iași and Bucharest as part of the Bavarian Economic Delegation’s official visit. These events further solidified the importance of our presence and expertise in digital innovation, both at home and in Germany.

In Iași, Gabriel Tironeac (Vice President of Innovation), Alina Enea (QA Engineer), and Cristina Tironeac (Project Manager) represented our company during a panel on regional innovation ecosystems. The key takeaway? That sustainable development depends on tech-enabled collaboration across borders.

In Bucharest, Laura Pavaloaia (Business Development Manager) led discussions on collaboration in AI, cloud services, and digital consultancy. These meetings reaffirmed the importance of our DACH strategy and helped spotlight our new office in Augsburg, Germany, a significant step in expanding our reach.

Augsburg: Our Solid European Gateway

Opening a branch in Augsburg marks a major milestone in our European growth strategy. The opening of this office represents a bridge between our development teams in Romania and the innovation hubs of Germany.

From Bavaria, we are now better positioned to:

  • Deliver custom software development services at scale
  • Support German-speaking clients with localized expertise
  • Partner with institutions, clusters, and funding bodies on EU innovation projects
  • Participate directly in the Bavarian tech ecosystem

This expansion reflects our belief in long-term, value-driven relationships and our commitment to being more of a strategic partner, instead of a service provider.

A Shared Vision for Cross-Border Innovation

The Siret Forum is a timely reminder that the future of business in Eastern Europe depends on how well we connect. It’s about forging partnerships that cut through borders, align visions, and leverage technology to solve shared challenges.

For ASSIST Software, this means doubling down on what we do best: building world-class software with global impact. And thanks to our enduring collaboration with AHK Romania and our established presence in Augsburg, we’re better equipped than ever to make that impact count.

We look forward to meeting partners, stakeholders, and visionaries in Siret and continuing the conversation in Augsburg, Bucharest, Iași, and beyond.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is ASSIST Software's development process?

The Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) we employ defines the following stages for a software project. Our SDLC phases include planning, requirement gathering, product design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

2. What software development methodology does ASSIST Software use?

ASSIST Software primarily leverages Agile principles for flexibility and adaptability. This means we break down projects into smaller, manageable sprints, allowing continuous feedback and iteration throughout the development cycle. We also incorporate elements from other methodologies to increase efficiency as needed. For example, we use Scrum for project roles and collaboration, and Kanban boards to see workflow and manage tasks. As per the Waterfall approach, we emphasize precise planning and documentation during the initial stages.

3. I'm considering a custom application. Should I focus on a desktop, mobile or web app?

We can offer software consultancy services to determine the type of software you need based on your specific requirements. Please explore what type of app development would suit your custom build product.

  • A web application runs on a web browser and is accessible from any device with an internet connection. (e.g., online store, social media platform)
  • Mobile app developers design applications mainly for smartphones and tablets, such as games and productivity tools. However, they can be extended to other devices, such as smartwatches.
  • Desktop applications are installed directly on a computer (e.g., photo editing software, word processors).
  • Enterprise software manages complex business functions within an organization (e.g., Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)).

4. My software product is complex. Are you familiar with the Scaled Agile methodology?

We have been in the software engineering industry for 30 years. During this time, we have worked on bespoke software that needed creative thinking, innovation, and customized solutions.

Scaled Agile refers to frameworks and practices that help large organizations adopt Agile methodologies. Traditional Agile is designed for small, self-organizing teams. Scaled Agile addresses the challenges of implementing Agile across multiple teams working on complex projects.

SAFe provides a structured approach for aligning teams, coordinating work, and delivering value at scale. It focuses on collaboration, communication, and continuous delivery for optimal custom software development services.

5. How do I choose the best collaboration model with ASSIST Software?

We offer flexible models. Think about your project and see which models would be right for you.

  • Dedicated Team: Ideal for complex, long-term projects requiring high continuity and collaboration.
  • Team Augmentation: Perfect for short-term projects or existing teams needing additional expertise.
  • Project-Based Model: Best for well-defined projects with clear deliverables and a fixed budget.

Contact us to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each model.
