SkillHelp Project Nicosia Meeting

ASSIST is proud to announce the successful completion of yet another impactful Erasmus+ project, SkillHelp - Support for the Development of Social Workers' Soft Skills, further enriching our dynamic portfolio.

On January 30th and 31st, the consortium came together in Cyprus, at the headquarters of CSI, for the final transnational partners’ meeting. This gathering officially marked the end of a highly productive two-year collaboration and was designed to review key outcomes, assess the overall impact, and strategize for the sustainable integration of SkillHelp's results into the broader context of social work practices.

To enhance the accessibility and user-friendliness of our project results, we seamlessly integrated them into the SkillHelp eLearning platform. The project's starting point was identifying soft skills critical in everyday professional interactions, with a particular emphasis on social work.

In close collaboration with experienced social workers, the consortium created a diagnostics tool designed to assess current soft skill levels, enabling users to identify areas for improvement and set realistic growth goals, targeting ten valuable skills: ability to empower and motivate, assertiveness, building interpersonal relations, communication, efficiency and organizational skills, empathy, ethics in social work, mediation and conflict resolution, negotiation skills, and stress and burnout resilience. To help social workers elevate each of these skills, enhance their effectiveness, build meaningful relationships, and make a lasting impact in the lives of those they serve, the partners developed ten compelling online courses hosted on the SkillHelp multilanguage eLearning platform.

Piloting sessions conducted in partner countries were designed to systematically validate and gather feedback on the platform and the content of the online courses. The piloting report was thoroughly analyzed during the last transnational partners’ meeting, and measures have since been taken to integrate the feedback provided into the results of the project.

As we look back on our 2-year journey, we extend our gratitude to all partners for their valuable contributions and commitment. The project's achievements stand as a testament to the power of collaboration in fostering growth and knowledge exchange

We remind you that SkillHelp is a project co-funded by the ERASMUS+ program of the European Union and submitted under KA220-ADU - Cooperation partnerships in adult education, with project reference 2021-1-PL01-KA220-ADU-000035104.
