Whether it’s regarding recycling activities, involvement in social work, helping dogs from local shelters or organizing reforestation activities, ASSIST Software is always happy to get involved and give a helping hand to the community it belongs to.

On the 20th of April 2019, ASSIST Software teamed up with Rotil Prest and the Marin Drăcea National Institute for Research and Development in Forestry for a tree planting event in which over 3600 trees were planted. This reforestation event took place in Moldovita, in an area in which the trees were brought down by a wind storm.

The deforestation events that occurred in Moldovita over the past few years have had a devastating effect on the natural habitats of plants and animals in the area. These habitats are now very exposed and fragile, which has affected animals and plants that depend on these areas. 

We love our country and our spectacular landscapes, forests and natural beauty. This is why we felt the need to take action and do something about the deforestation problem in Moldovita.

 

We decided to organize this reforestation activity because we are grateful for everything that mother nature gives us every day and we know that every little helps when it comes to the fight against climate change. 

We worked hard side by side planting trees in order to contribute to the reforestation efforts in the area. Many of the volunteers brought their families along with them, and the children that came enjoyed helping out and learning about the importance of protecting the environment. 

All of the volunteers that participated in this event had the same goal in mind: to give back to the environment and to raise awareness about the importance of protecting our forests. 

We worked hard to plant an impressive number of trees and we had fun doing this! We talked, we laughed and we took photos. We helped each other and we learned how to be a united team. After finishing the work, we stopped for a well-deserved break and a delicious barbecue.

This tree planting event reflects ASSIST Software’s culture, which is based on trust, friendship, responsibility, and hard work.

We would like to think that our journey has been a source of inspiration for others and we hope that our efforts will inspire others to contribute in their own ways.
