On the 15th of November 2019, ASSIST Software took part in an event organized by Andrei Gafița, the national 50 km race walking runner-up that our company proudly sponsors in his national and international competitions.

The event, which took place at the "Ion Creangă" High School in Suceava, was born out of a desire to promote the importance of playing sports in schools.

At the start of the "First steps in performance sport" event, Andrei talked to the students about the benefits of taking up a performance sport, what it means to be an athlete, and what challenges you can encounter in this type of career.

In the second part of the event, Andrei Gafita along with Daniel Ceobanu – the P.E. teacher at the school, organized a running competition in the sports hall. After this, Andrei introduced the students to the secrets of race walking and practiced race walking techniques with them.

At the end of the event, after two hours filled with enthusiasm and curiosity, the students were rewarded with diplomas and prizes from ASSIST Software.

We are convinced that Andrei's "First steps in performance sport" initiative inspired the students to pursue their passion for sports and helped them to understand the importance of adopting an active lifestyle.

We offer our sincere thanks to the teachers at the "Ion Creangă" High School for supporting this wonderful initiative!
