See how it was at MTB Dragomirna powered by ASSIST 2018

ASSIST Software participated on June 9th, 2018 at the biggest mountain bike competition in Bukovina called MTB Dragomirna powered by ASSIST. For this 7th edition, ASSIST was the main sponsor of the event, promoting together with the organizers, the beauty of biking and movement in nature. 

The seventh edition of the contest MTB Dragomirna powered by ASSIST was a real success, due to the presence of over 500 cyclists from all over the country, who for several hours exceeded their limits on the gorgeous routes of Dragomirna. We are proud to sustain this wonderful event every year as the main sponsor, and we are grateful to Monti Cond Serv, for organizing the most important mountain bike competition in Bucovina!

Although we were expecting to be a rainy day because of the forecast, in that Saturday the weather made us a wonderful surprise and seemed to be on our side. Therefore, it was a hot summer day filled with a great atmosphere, good vibes and amazing energy created thanks to the numerous happy people present at the event.

Out of the total of 500 participants, our company also had 35 outstanding representatives from ASSIST Biking Club at this competition, of which we are proud. Moreover, 2 of our colleagues established a successful personal performance:  Adrian Mihai Gălăţanu - 2nd place, Long Trail, 40-49 years; Nicolae Bogdan Tui -2nd place, Short Trail, 40-49 years.

The competitors that have won at this contest have been rewarded with valuable and quality prizes, worthy of any valuable national competition.

This year, the organizer prepared some new elements for the participants due to their desire of taking this contest to the next level. Therefore, compared to the previous edition of the event, this year, the organizer added some new elements at the Long Trail consisting in a descent in a landslide very technical and dangerous and a spinning session contest for the supporters of the participants.

Since MTB Dragomirna 2017, ASSIST Software has been developing a special mobile application for this competition, which helped spectators staying in the camping area watch their participants, friends, along with the competition trails, just by clicking and accessing this web application: http://mtb.assist.ro/. Thus, in real time, people who registered their contest number in our app were visible on the route map, right in the camping area on a screen at the ASSIST stand. Everyone knew where each participant was on the route. The idea is innovative, no such thing has been applied to any Mountain Bike competition in the country and it had a great success among the participants. The application is available for free on Android.

The winners received prizes worth 15,000 lei, Monticond vouchers, champagne, and a lot of other surprises for all the competitors who have taken a seat on the podium. Among the winners, we mention the Long Route, with Alexandru Roman, 19-29 years old, Florin Mureşan, 30-39 years, and Daniel Roşu in the 40- 49 years old category. On the Short Track, Rareş Moisiuc was ranked first in the 14-18 year category, Ioan Bogdan Juncu for 19-29 years, Iosif Ureche for 30-39 years, Cosmin Gabriel Ilie in the category 40-49 years and Adrian Gherguţi in the category +50 years. The Female opening was won by Irina Scorţan, while the winners in the Family category were Daniel Istrate and Denis Istrate.
