DURAFILE FP7 Project Kick-Off Meeting in Spain

On the 8th of October 2013, the partners of the FP7 DURAFILE project met in Barcelona - Spain, for the official kick-off meeting. DURAFILE Consortium is formed by 6 SMEs (Abaccus Soluciones e Innovación - Spain), ASSIST Software SRL - Romania, Easy Innova S.L - Spain, EES - Turkey, Highlands Technology - France and IDEC - Greece) and 3 research institutes (ATEKNEA - Spain, Universitat de Girona - Spain and Tallinn University - Estonia), each partner with different roles in project based on their expertise.
The event hosted by ATEKNEA provided an insight into each partner’s point of view and expectations for the future development of the technology. The first meeting helped the Consortium shape the technical agenda for DURAFILE platform development in order to meet all the challenges.
This project has been selected for funding in Brussels by the Research Executive Agency (REA) of the European Commission. Respecting its philosophy, the Project will provide the innovation needed to develop an innovative prototype that will be owned by the SME participants in order to increase their strength and competitiveness in their own markets.
