BONAFIDE EUREKA-EUROSTARS Project - Kick-Off Meeting

On the 18th of November 2013, the partners of the BONAFIDE EUREKA-EUROSTARS Project met in London - UK, for the official project kick-off meeting. BONAFIDE consortium is formed by 3 SMEs – MarkMar ehf - Iceland, iMonIT ehf - Iceland and ASSIST Software SRL - Romania, each partner with different roles based on their expertise.
The aim of the BONAFIDE project is to empower the consumers to tailor their concerns and interests in particular food through their own profiling for data and food supply information. It will enable consumer access to transparent supply chain products and process data in accordance with their own individual needs. The consumer will therefore no longer need to rely on reading through food labels or other information provided by the supermarkets. The system will provide automatic alerts if the products considered do not fulfill their preset consumer profile requirements.
The event hosted by MarkMar provided an insight into each partner’s point of view and expectations for the future development of the platform. The first meeting helped the consortium shape the agenda of activities for BONAFIDE platform development in order to meet all the challenges.
The BONAFIDE Project is co-funded by UEFISCDI, under EUREKA-EUROSTARS INNOVATION program, the subprogramme European Cooperation Eureka-Eurostars, topic Development of Product - Systems - Technologies (DPST), project entitled: "Consumer access facilitation to food information and access to data through mobile and web applications" with contract project number: 8578.
