Gabriel Tironeac played a central role in expanding ASSIST Software's Interactive Technologies department from a game development team into a full-spectrum division. The department now covers commercial game development, military simulation, VR and XR applications, AR tools, and high-fidelity digital twins, all built on engine-level expertise in Unity and Unreal Engine.

Among the department's most significant outputs is PARS, an autonomous reconnaissance and support platform developed under the EU-funded CENTRIC programme in collaboration with Ștefan cel Mare University of Suceava. PARS combines an AI-driven drone swarm, real-time object detection via computer vision, high-fidelity digital twins built in Unreal Engine 5, and VR environments for first responder training. The project was published at the 2023 International Conference on Engineering of Modern Electric Systems and later presented at a NATO Cybersecurity and Military AI conference.

The department has also launched commercial titles, including Elly and the Ruby Atlas on Google Play and the App Store, and published technical tools on both the Unity Asset Store and Unreal Engine Marketplace, used by third-party studios globally. 

Gabriel Tironeac leads ASSIST Software's strategic direction in Industry 4.0 and emerging Industry 5.0 initiatives, focusing on AI robotics and intelligent systems where the company has built a strong track record of client delivery. His approach prioritizes custom systems over standard deployments, using digital twins and edge AI to test concepts safely before physical implementation.

As he explained in his Romania Insider interview, projects in this space require flexibility, patience, and a deep understanding of real-world operational constraints. The goal is not technology for its own sake, but systems that create measurable value for the client.

As he noted at the 2022 edition: "You want to be good and awe everybody, but the natural way to do this is by creating a real solution to an issue people face every day. Whatever we want to do and grow, the first step to success is empathy."
