ASSIST Software presented the CounteR and PARS projects at the NATO ”Cybersecurity and Military AI” Conference
On the 26th of January, The Scientific Association of Law and Public Administration and the "Stefan cel Mare" University of Suceava, organized the "Cybersecurity and Military Artificial Intelligence: New Legal Challenges and Resilience Perspectives" conference with the support of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). The event took place in the "Joseph Schmidt" Auditorium, at the Stefan cel Mare University in Suceava.
The conference attracted numerous experts from national institutions, academic representatives from Romania, the Republic of Moldova, and Ukraine, as well as guests from various software development companies. Mircea Geoană, NATO's Deputy Secretary General, inaugurated the symposium, joining the event online.
Among the specialists, our COO, Adrian Onu, presented the PARS and CounteR projects. These projects focus on enhancing safety measures and addressing security challenges. Through innovative solutions, ASSIST Software helps to improve online security and streamline the flow of information in emergencies.
The CounteR project aims to combat radicalization and prevent terrorist attacks by aggregating data from diverse sources into analysis and alert platforms. Rather than targeting individuals, CounteR focuses on community-based risk factors, utilizing open data sources and psychological expertise to predict critical areas. Led by ASSIST Software, this project’s purpose is to coordinate real-time actions among law enforcement agencies (LEAs) while safeguarding citizen privacy.
The PARS project, funded by CENTRIC and in collaboration with Ștefan cel Mare University, aims to assist public authorities during critical situations by swiftly identifying weak points and generating dynamic responses. ASSIST Software leads research and development efforts, focusing on UI/UX prototyping, software architecture, and the development of components like frontend, backend, and machine learning modules.
We are honoured to have participated in this NATO conference. Our involvement in events of such importance underscores our commitment to addressing critical security challenges and enhancing safety measures.
