Fortinet and ASSIST Software: Empowering Cybersecurity - Insights from Workshops and Webinars

Last month, ASSIST Software hosted two cybersecurity events in collaboration with Exclusive Networks Technology Romania.
Cybersecurity is vital for companies and public institutions because it helps protect sensitive information from being accessed, stolen, or damaged by cyber threats such as hackers, viruses, and malware. It ensures that data, networks, and systems remain safe and secure, which is crucial for maintaining trust with customers, safeguarding financial assets, and preserving the integrity of operations. Without proper cybersecurity measures, organizations are at risk of data breaches, financial losses, and reputational damage, which can have severe consequences for their business or public services.
The first event held at Suceava, called Fortinet Security Fabric, was a robust workshop, and it was mainly focused on contemporary solutions within the cybersecurity industry.
In partnership with ASSIST Software, the workshop attracted representatives from prominent public institutions and companies, most of them being collaborators or business partners of the company. Together, they engaged in comprehensive discussions, uncovering strategies to proactively prevent and manage security breaches amidst the evolving cyber terrain.
The second event was a webinar that took place on the 14th of December, concentrating specifically on FortiAnalyzer.
FortiAnalyzer is a comprehensive platform for managing logs, analyzing data, and generating reports. It offers a centralized console for organizations to oversee security operations, identify risks, and gain visibility into potential threats. Integrated with the Fortinet Security Fabric, FortiAnalyzer provides real-time detection, security analytics, and awareness of security posture. It helps teams identify and address advanced threats to prevent breaches effectively.
This technical seminar aimed to examine methods for streamlining security operations and enhancing automation within Security Operations Centers (SOCs). The agenda was tailored to address global challenges encountered by security teams, encompassing complexities in managing multiple products, intricate operations, and the shortage of cybersecurity personnel.
These events held in November play a pivotal role in the ongoing discussions surrounding cybersecurity measures. They provided pragmatic insights suited for organizations at varying stages of SOC maturity, marking substantial progress in fortifying digital defences against emerging threats.
In 2021, ASSIST Software initiated its collaboration with Fortinet through their first event, the "Security Fabric Roadshow", conducted online to resounding success. This partnership reflects shared objectives and ambitions, including pursuing, endorsing, and utilising top-tier services, guaranteeing the safety and security of our professional processes and endeavours.
