ASSIST Software sustaining life at Suceava Marathon

1. Supporting the community
We are happy to announce that ASSIST Software will be a sponsor for the Suceava Marathon (“Maratonul Cetății Suceava”), which will take place on the 21st of September 2019. This year’s event is the third edition of the event and it was organized by the international non-governmental organization, Save the Children Suceava.
The idea of organizing such a worthwhile event came from a small group of runners who wanted to raise awareness about the necessity of bringing modern medical equipment to maternity wards in Romanian hospitals.
The aim of the event is to give a wake-up call to the whole country about the state of its maternity wards so as to raise funds to support mothers and newborn children.
2. "Every child matters!"
ASSIST Software is always more than happy to support charity events such as this one and give a helping hand whenever needed. We believe that we have a common purpose: to improve daily, to make each other proud, to support the local community and to become true global leaders in what we do.
ASSIST is a local company that owes everything to the community it was born in, and this is why we believe we should do our best to give back.
We believe in the power of community and hope that this event will succeed in changing the fate of newborn children in Romania.
3. Running for life
We are happy to be represented in this event by a large number of employees who enjoy taking part in competitions in order to challenge themselves and support good causes. As with last year’s edition, there will be a family route and a kids’ route so we encourage participants to bring their families along so that they can also participate in the event.
4. The Marathon routes
The competition will start and finish at the Princely Fortress of Suceava (Cetatea de Scaun Suceava). As a response to requests from previous editions of the event, the organizers introduced new routes for this year’s event.
Therefore, in addition to the Long route – 35 km, the Short route – 22 km, the Popular route – 4 km and the Kids’ route – approx. 800m, this year there will also be a Cross route – 11 km and a Family route – a team competition of approximately 800 m.

The event will start at 10:00 and the award ceremony will start at 13:00, where, as expected, every participant will receive a diploma and many other surprises that we cannot reveal yet!
