Runners Conquer the Muddy Trails of The Dragormina Marathon, on a Rainy Day

Running in the rain can be challenging, but the true inspiration comes from the runners who persevered through the cold drizzle, which turned into heavy rain, yet continued on to complete the latest edition of the Dragormina Marathon.

On the 14th of September, the ASSIST Software team took on this popular running event for athletes of all levels.

To show our commitment to sports and a healthy lifestyle, we supported the 16km (about 9.94 mi) Cross-Country Race. Furthermore, as a token of admiration, we gave each fantastic participant a personalized headband.

Twenty runners from ASSIST Software embraced the challenge, pushing their limits with unwavering determination.

Our team had some incredible results

Cristian Spoială - 1st place in his age group and fifth overall in the half marathon (24 kilometers)
Dorin Moldoveanu – 2nd place in his age group and sixth overall in the half marathon (24 kilometers)
George Măzăreanu - 5th place in his age group at the marathon (42 kilometers)

The Dragomirna Marathon was a wild ride through the beautiful Dragormina region. The route was demanding, with plenty of hills, but the scenery was worth it. Despite the rainy weather, the region's natural beauty remained intact, creating a truly unforgettable experience for the participants. The muddy trails added an extra element of adventure, making the race both challenging and rewarding.

The runners had several races they could sign up for:

Children's Race: This race allowed young athletes to test their boldness and discover their love for sports.
Popular Race: A 2-kilometer fun run perfect for those new to running.
Dragomirna Cross-Country: A demanding 16-kilometer off-road race suitable for all levels.
Dragomirna Half Marathon: A scenic 24-kilometer race featuring stunning views of the region.
Dragomirna Marathon: An intense 42-kilometer challenge that took runners through the heart of the Dragomirna Forest.

All proceeds from the sign-up fees will be donated to charitable causes, making a positive impact on our community.

We hosted a fun raffle at our stand, offering participants the chance to win personalized prizes. To enter, visitors simply needed to take a selfie in the company's photo booth, share it on their social media, and tag ASSIST Software. They then chose a raffle ticket for a chance to win a water bottle, hat, or fanny pack.

We added a touch of excitement by offering sweets and words of encouragement to runners gearing up for the competition.

The Dragomirna Marathon proved that rain or shine, determination, and perseverance can overcome any challenge. We're proud to have been a part of such an inspiring event.
