One of the main challenges Ocrolus faced was scaling AI-powered document processing while maintaining strict SLAs, accuracy, traceability, and service quality. As demand increased, the traditional offshore BPO model became costly and difficult to scale.
ASSIST helped strengthen the production workflow around Ocrolus’ machine-learning and open-weight AI models. The solution combined automated processing with human-in-the-loop validation, accuracy monitoring, analytics, and scalable validation pipelines.
The enhanced mobile application enabled distributed reviewers to assess uncertain, abnormal, or low-confidence AI outputs through controlled micro-tasks.
The architecture supported continuous AI behaviour monitoring, reference-based assessment, traceable validation decisions, model-version control, and human-supervised escalation. These capabilities were developed and validated in controlled environments before operational use. Sensitive data and AI processing remained within controlled deployment boundaries.

It supports distributed captcha-style data validation, while administrators can upload bank statements, review processing metrics, analyse performance, and manage financial-document workflows.The platform supports scalable human-in-the-loop AI validation, enabling uncertain or flagged AI outputs to be reviewed through controlled validation tasks.

The web application is built as a responsive single-page application using Angular, while the Android application uses Kotlin, RxJava, and Dagger. The modular architecture supports reliable processing, operational scalability, and consistent validation across the platform.
