We celebrated World Animal Day at ASSIST Software

We are happy when we can mark important days such as World Animal Day together by showing kindness and care.
For the third year in a row, we organized a fundraising event to aid the rescued dogs from the ”His house Patroclus” (Casa lui Patrocle) shelter in Dărmănești, Suceava. This year, we were fortunate that we were able to visit and play with the dogs, which we missed out on last year due to the current health situation. We did the same in 2019 when we brought all our donations in person.
This year, we raised 4000 lei together, some of it coming from employee donations and the rest covered by company funds. The money allowed us to buy a large quantity of dry and canned food, several dozen blankets, and hygiene products as well as various small treats to mark the event.
Although our efforts surely made a difference, we encourage all those who have the possibility of donating to try and help the animals at ”His house Patroclus”. The dogs housed there are not just strays taken off the streets. Most of them are, in fact, rescues with heartbreaking stories of abuse or abandonment who are waiting to be adopted by loving families from Romania or abroad.
Those who want to take on the challenge of bringing home a special needs companion must know that all the dogs from ”His house Patroclus” are fully able to be adopted and that, despite their stories, they are gentle with humans, happy to be around people and full of energy.
